Teaching

Dr. Tachino has taught a range of subject to diverse students and clients in many different contexts. His specialty in teaching is academic writing for research publications, and he trains both graduate students (both L1 and L2) and other researchers. He is always excited to see his students and clients succeed in publishing their first research articles. He also teaches related skills, such as research presentations, strategies for reading research articles, and other skills as scholars.

At the undergraduate level, Dr. Tachino has taught classes, such as rhetorical criticism, academic writing, and written, oral, visual, and electronic composition to L1 American and Canadian students and various ESL/EFL/EAP classes to L2 students.

Elsewhere, he has taught and tutored subjects, such as linguistics, rhetorical grammar, informal logic, Japanese, Spanish, and classical Latin to English speakers and ESL/EFL/EAP to L2 learners of all levels, ranging from professionals to illiterate immigrants.
